Custom Exhaust Fabrication in Wadsworth, Ohio

Cat-back, axle-back, turbo-back, dual conversions and tip work — bent on our own equipment to your vehicle rather than ordered out of a box and forced to fit.

What the Names Mean

Axle-back replaces everything behind the rear axle — effectively the muffler and tips. The cheapest way to change how a car sounds, and it barely touches how it performs.

Cat-back replaces everything behind the catalytic converter. Bigger sound change, some real flow gain on a modified engine, and it is the most common system people come in for.

Turbo-back replaces everything from the turbo outlet back, and on a turbo vehicle it is where the actual power is. It is also the one most likely to involve emissions equipment, so we will talk to you about what is road legal before anything is cut.

Dual conversion splits a single exhaust into two. Mostly a look and a sound, and on trucks it is what most people are actually asking for when they say they want it louder.

Bent Here, Not Ordered In

We bend pipe on site, which is the difference between a system made for your vehicle and a kit that nearly fits. It matters on anything modified, anything old enough that nobody makes a kit any more, and anything where the last shop left you with a pipe hanging six inches from the fuel tank.

We also fit the name-brand systems — Flowmaster, MagnaFlow, MBRP and JBA — and stock a good deal of them. If a kit exists for your vehicle and it is what you want, buying the kit is often the cheaper route and we will say so.

About the Sound

Sound is the whole reason for most of these jobs and it is the part people are least able to picture from a website. Come in and talk to us before you order: mufflers vary from barely-there to loud enough to regret on a long drive, and a system that sounds superb at full throttle can drone at 65mph in a way that ruins the car.

Drone is the thing to ask about. It is the low resonance at cruise, it is specific to the combination of vehicle, muffler and pipe length, and it is far easier to avoid at the design stage than to fix afterwards.

Not sure what fits? Our fitment guides cover the common vehicles.

Questions We Get Asked

How long does a custom system take?

Longer than a muffler, because it is bent to the vehicle rather than bolted on — usually most of a day. Booking it rather than walking in is worth doing.

Will it pass an E-Check?

A cat-back or axle-back leaves the emissions equipment alone and is not the issue. Anything that removes or replaces a catalytic converter is, and Wadsworth is in a testing county — see Ohio E-Check repair. We will tell you where the line is before we cut.

Can you make it quieter instead of louder?

Yes, and we get asked more often than you would think — usually by someone who bought the car with a system already on it. A different muffler or a resonator added back in will normally settle it down.

Do you fit systems I bought elsewhere?

Yes. Bring the kit. If it turns out not to fit your vehicle properly we will tell you what it needs rather than forcing it and hoping.
